About Us
We are located in the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics at Princeton University, a hub of interdisciplinary science.
We seek to build and maintain an environment that integrates the most exciting advances in cell biology, genomics, computational biology, and computer science.
We are always looking out for new members with expertise in one of these areas and who are fearless about learning others.

Research Overview
How do cells coordinate complex responses to DNA damage?
To respond to stimuli, cells must coordinate the activity of many of factors. Our lab is interested in understanding how such coordination is achieved, especially when cells are faced with deleterious conditions (e.g., stress and damage). We have particular interest in understanding mechanisms of DNA damage response.
How can we improve technologies for genome editing and functional genomics?
To enable our work, we use and develop cutting-edge experimental tools, including genome editing technologies and genetic screening methods. Our tools, which leverage recent advances in CRISPR-based genetics, single-cell RNA-sequencing, and genetic interaction mapping, allow us to systematically interrogate gene function, often at genome-scale, in high resolution, and/or with less bias than conventional methods. We have particular interest in understand how endogenous cellular mechanisms enable or suppress genome editing tools.
Application of technology development efforts to diverse areas of biology
We also apply our tools to support collaborative studies in diverse areas of biology, including virology, immunology, and development.
